Celebrate STEM and meet an astronaut - Part 2


The main event was in the Saturn V Rocket Building. There were tables set up in the walkway between all the amazing exhibits. During the 3 hours we had time to do some of the fun activities and also look at many of the exhibits. Luciana has a great time but we have to come back to see more. I read an article online that there were about 1600 people registered for the events. It was very crowded for awhile but everyone was having so much fun.

There was so many fun activities to do, like making astronaut pudding, taking a photo with a Space Camp blowup, remote controlling robots and painting! Rhea Seddon, a former astronaut, also had a book signing there. I took lots of photos!
We bought Rhea Seddon's book "Go for Orbit" about one of America's first women astronauts in Space. Then we got to meet her!

Luciana's Telescope Projector Set

Luciana's Telephone Projector Set is really awesome and fun. It comes with a toy telescope that lights up and projects space scenes,  a tripod to hold the telescope steady, a soft blanket to sit on, a pretend smartphone, two smartphone screens with charts of the night sky. Turning the lights completely off really makes a difference to see the spaces scenes. She is holding her new smart phone in her right hand! K9 (Luciana's dog) is sitting on the soft blanket.
