Celebrate STEM and meet an astronaut - Part 1


On Sunday we made the trip to Huntsville, Al to the U.S. Space and Rocket Center for the big event inspired by Luciana Vega! We only had a couple hours before the event started at 2 PM. So I took some cute pictures of Luciana in the gift shop and we walked quickly through the main exhibit. We didn't have time for the movies. But we're planning on returning in the summer! 

There were lots of books all about Mars!

Luciana's Telescope Projector Set

Luciana's Telephone Projector Set is really awesome and fun. It comes with a toy telescope that lights up and projects space scenes,  a tripod to hold the telescope steady, a soft blanket to sit on, a pretend smartphone, two smartphone screens with charts of the night sky. Turning the lights completely off really makes a difference to see the spaces scenes. She is holding her new smart phone in her right hand! K9 (Luciana's dog) is sitting on the soft blanket.
